Life is very fragile. Everyone knows it, but few of us think about it until something happens. It is as if our minds are programmed in such a way that any negative thoughts will result in a curse bestowed. Not that the theory is totally biased and totally uncalled for, considering what the Law of Attraction states: You get what you think about and your thoughts determine your experience. That is where things get really ironical.
We were told to cherish what we have, but few did, until they lose something. And we were supposed to practise positive thinking, yet expected to cherish without any idea what losing could mean. It makes one ponder on the talks given on positive thinking. If we could willed good things to happen, then we could change our fate and the word ‘fate’ should just be eliminated from dictionary. Is fate then a statement that one makes out of resignation when his wills fail?
We were often advised to dream big. Like how they always say:"Aim for the moon so that when you fall, you will be among the stars". For years I have stuck to that belief. In a way, that helped me at some point of my life whereby I prevented myself from going back to where I first started . It was only until recently when my younger brother taught me about the Law of Ladder.
The Law of Ladder teaches one to know their own position. The strategy to use depends on which rung you are at on the ladder. Each market segment contains a ladder in the mind of the customer or prospect. This very ladder represents the market position of each vendor. It shows the status of a brand and how a company's worth is viewed. For a company to be successful, it needs to pursue a marketing strategy that is in line with their position on the ladder. My younger brother used it on me when I was upset at making certain decisions in life. I was at my usual, humming and hawing and he told me to cherish what I have and re-evaluate my worth and act accordingly.
Perhaps it is not humane to use a marketing theory to handle human relations, but when it comes to getting things done, one needs to be really firm. It is always difficult to justify your choice without logic. While there is no need to justify, for me, there is a need to seek confirmation and support.
I am such a confused individual whose IQ is dropping with each passing minute.
