'Right' Vs Right
This few days of meeting up with friends made me realised how much I have changed. I wouldn't say if the change is positive or negative because what can be positive to one may be negative to another.

Everything is subjected to relativity these days. Time has changed and the mulitple perspectives result in the bluring of lines between the two extremes. In the end, no one has any right to tell others what they should do, what is right and what is wrong because there is always a reason for an action inflicted.

I was watching the trailer of this new Mediacorp show regarding how teenagers who went stray returned to the right path and it suddenly dawned upon me that the greatest form of help given to a person is not to tell a person what is right and what is wrong. The situation and the environment faced are different and there is no way a person can comprehend the essence of your theory unless he is at the same level with you. No one starts at the same point in life. If there is anyone that does something wrong, pull him up to your level. There really is no point in harping, criticising or finger-pointing because the person will only learn from what you said. For example, you can tell the person something is wrong and the person may stop doing it (if possible), but only because he was told that it was wrong. There is zero value in the action and things become so superficial and meaningless.

The next trailer that I caught reflects my point. It was something about the destruction of wildlife. There were scenes showing how the people in India killed elephants, removed their flesh and piled it up somewhere (don't know where, it was a sea of bloody mess).

Before the WWF or any animal lover starts exclaiming the cruelty of the actions, did anyone stop to think why they did that or if they enjoyed doing that? Of course I am not speaking up for the elephant murderers cos I love elephants as well. But taking it as an example, did anyone bother to pull this people out of the situation they are facing to help them understand that this is wrong. I think no one would really bother to. My point is, we are all at different levels in our lives and I am sure that at our level where the economy is stable, we are definitely doing something that is very wrong, very critisized and yet we are still doing it. On top of doing that, we still point at the people the level below and criticise them for their actions when our 'misdeed' could have resulted in greater consequences.

To help a person, donating money is not enough. OMG, now I sound like I am hosting charity show. There are so many things that we can do for people and there are so many lives that we can help to change, but will it be right to change theirs when one doesn't even know if what appears 'right' is truly right?
