These few days have been a little mad. The more I control myself in not spending money, the more I spend. And everytime I spend money it seems so 'worthed it'. But it was really worthed it, having to spend my time with friends that I have not been seeing for quite some time. I guess one of the greatest thing in life is to just chat with friends on anything that comes to your mind. It is almost impossible these days to say whatever you think and feel (of course with tact) and get response. Heart to heart talk seems to be a bane these days. Perhaps people are beggining to lose their heart.

My few days...

Foodie the teacher

Huimin the auditor!

Wee leng the Marketing Executive

Bey the future Nutritionist

Of course there is Yilin the Medical Social worker, except that she was too hungry to allow me to take photo. Hungrier than Foodie.

Jacq the Unemployed

All I do now is to eat and waste Financial resource.

Surf and Turf, Foodie's Heaven

The cakes Humin bought from Coffee Bean

The can-die-for Korean feast

Duck Laksa

AZABO!

Now I know how the fats came by...

I want to take makeover shots to preserve my youth. That day I was staring at the mirror and I almost died of shock. Youth is slipping and before I know it, I will be sleeping. by 30, I must get my Botox. Haha. Got to start packing... Who cares if I am unemployed? At least I know I will survive on my own!

I was reading through my journals (which inevitably made the clearing up of the landslide in my room a fruitless activity) when recognised the dark periods where I wished in every entry for a natural death. Its a little scary and very selfish, but the thought is tempting. I was a coward and I still am. NATURAL death so that I will not be punished? PUI, as if having the thought alone makes me less punishable.

My room is a landslide now. I have no idea how the number of memory boxes can fit into my Big Plan aka Da Ji Hua. Nevertheless, get ready for my room-warming. Project will be completed by April 2006.

I finally met up with my longtime friends. God Bless them.

Rightie

One of my wishes on my Birthday wishlist came true with the help of God and rightie.

When will it be Flora?

8 more days people.

How can there be someone that thick? For those in the Marketing line, beware of how you convince your target group. Look at this advertisment on the package of the papaya soap that the maids strongly advocate.

Some whitening huh?

Never insult the intelligence of your consumers. Nowadays, we know what is photoshop. Even models cannot pose in the exact same position. Whitening! OMG *roll eyeballs 3 rounds*

I had so many things to blog about, but couldn't find the time. Now that I have got time, I don't know what to blog about. This week has been a little mad with work and all. I took a little time off to do volunteer work with dearest Yilin, shop with Florence and spent time with Xinni.

Cousin (Female) power!

Please don't tell others if you know we took this inside a neoprint machine. Oops.

And then we changed the background... lol

PS: And Mr Nasa, if you are reading this, when will it be our 'cousin power'? Chinese New Year 2007 ah?

Then there is the volunteer work with Yilin. We went to those single unit flats and held this 'party' for the elderly. I was thoroughly amused when I saw them groving. read: grooving. They dance better than so many people I know. Then there was also this 94 woman that sheded tears that I almost cried with her. I think that a person after 60 should only shed tears of joy, not sadness or regret. In a way, it is extremely heart-wrenching.

We were supposed to shop but we were too tired and I ended up at Lot 1 helping out at the roadshow. For those who didn't see me at work, thank god. By 5+, my smiles were so pretentious that even I got disgusted. Of course, I was even more turned off by the number of nose-digging shoppers. They didn;t stop until they felt their fingers poking out through their eyes through the nose. The number is shocking and I would have counted them out of boredom if not for half of them being mainlanders and the super kiasu anuties that insisted on getting freebies, even the displays.

Anyway, as mentioned, I went to help out and Yilin too. Hardly a voluteer work, but she felt sorry for Cecilia, so she led the mascot and sort of pretended that she was back at Disney Land again.

Yilin with the Wyeth BEAR that the shoppers called 'mouse'

Then there was the shopping trip ith Flo. That shopping queen. I think I am going to bow to her everytime she buys something. How can she fall in love that fast? I seem to see a flaw in every accessory that catches my eye but for the easily satisfied Flo, everyting is perfect. Christmas deco is up and everywhere is filled with the magical air of unspoken peace. It is truly breath-taking. Who cares if there is no snow. The lights alone are enough.

Flo is Christmassy-dressed! (although they said it looked Indianish and I thought it was more like CNY)

And the corporate me that keeps procrastinating when it comes to job-hunting. Gee, I am a BUM. Money money, please drop from the sky.

Vivo City is not as attractive as I have expected. It carries very simple decorations and the focus seems to be more on the stores rather than the layout. Somehow, it feels like I was in the Central Festival shopping centre in Phuket. I like the spacious layout though. Its funny how we use those interntional brands to attract foreigners when they can find it in their countries as well. Where is the local flavour or do we have one? Oh, maybe. There is a Chicken Rice restaurant there. We were starving and many of our faces have turned greenish, yellowish and any colour you can think of. But we were a healthy pink when we saw the Christmas decoration and practically forgot about the food when we saw the stores.

Rachel could not hide her excitment at the sight of those cute decorations from Tangs.

The cause of our forgotten-hunger

Food to feed our overused brains

While the waiting for Rena to seive out movies that she has watched...

Movie Junkie Rena spoils it all by watching 11 movies during the exam period to relieve stress, leaving us with little choice but to watch those few shows that she has yet watched. Between R21 gay show and the F animation Flushed Away, they opted for the later(which is surprisingly good). After the movie, we pretended that we were on a graduation cruise and took more photos.

Superstar Libra

Argh, my eyebags

Leader of madhouse gang with her follower

(Maybe we can name the childcare centre Madhouse Gang)

And thats how it ends. Or rather, that is how everything begins.
